Not many of us have ever experienced a three day ice storm. I suspect
you are the test case !
Three years ago in Cincinnati, we had a bad ice storm on top of 6 inches
of snow. I lost some trees but the only perennials lost were a coreopsis
and maybe a penstemon.
What I really remember is how blinding the light was when it bounced off
the ice and snow. Sun glasses only helped a little.
