i have a clematis (Nelly Moser or similar) planted on the west side of
my house. First year last year -- and growth was light, not vigorous.
I have since read in a gardening book that this variety should be
planted on the north side of the house, since it will fade in hot sun.
Would the same apply to "Jackmanii"? What variety works best on west
side (i do shade the roots) -- and I am not interested in a white
vine....
