did you know that you can break a branch from a Golden Bell (Forsythia)
and stick it in the ground, pack the dirt around it real firm and it
will root, that's why I have them on the North, South, East, and West,
in the sun, in the shade, and along with my Buttercups in the spring
all you can see is YELLOW
you can also do the Weigela the same way. I have a pink one and my
sister-in-law has a wine colored one. She shared with me and I put a
pink and wine one together and the results is pretty.
you can do this in the area where I live (zone 7) don't know about
your area
I also love to mix Yellow and Red together. I have set yellow Iris and
yellow daylilly with red canna's or yellow Iris and daylilly with a
pink Rose maybe add a few clumps of Purple Dutch Iris, some Daisy's ,
before you know it my husband is out with the shovel again enlarging
the bed. ha ha
