Bill,
Some potting soils do contain ferilzers. You just have to read the
label to find the ones that do. Some times it's printed in big letters
on the front of the bag. Ones that are considered sterile would be what
is known as a soiless mix. I'm not sure if ProMix contains fertilizers,
but for some reason, it's sticking in my head that it does. I may be
wrong on that.
In almost every seed catalogue, they have a section for gardening
related tools. Look there for the growing bags. J W Jung Seed Co.
www.jungseed.com has flower pouches (hangs on a wall) for sale
starting at $2.25 for one,
OH Yeah, did you all know that most SEED companies get their seed from
the same few sources? Some buy in such large quantities that you get
the savings, while others put the same seed in their own packaging and
you get to pay for it. Just thought I'd pass that on!
