Yes, Val, sounds like we're talking about the same plant - Grecian
windflower, it's sometimes called. Comes in blue & pink shades but I've
read that the white is the hardiest. Isn't that foliage pretty?!
Another white spring bloomer but with evergreen foliage is Iberis - it's
really a small shrub but is the perfect edging plant. Covered with
long-
lasting white blooms for weeks, then you cut it back and have a nice
low evergreen mound all year (if it's not covered with snow, which is
the case here). Looks great in front of a border, on top of a wall,
around shrubs, etc. Supposed to be very hardy.
