Neil, I love it. A marvelous idea.

I'm working on winter interest items. Last fall I put in some short 'Nandina"
shrubs and so far they are doing really great. They are holding onto the red
leaves wonderfully. Found them really cheap on sale and put in five outside
my front door. Makes going outside a little easier.

At Christmas, I took three strands (running them parallel) of continuous
blinking blue lights and wound them through my garden bed in the front of the
house. It looks like a river. It's so neat, I have decided to keep them
there. When we get a little snow, I love the way the lights work in the snow
and I'm hoping it will keep the soil a little warmer too. I even like it
better than the landscape lights the neighbors have, and its one heck of alot
cheaper. Hope they last until we can get tree lights again next year.
