Barb --
There is a product called Ornamec which is grass-specific, used normally
to eliminate grass from crops. It's available in quart-size containers
(concentrated) from Wildseed Farms. They recommend it for removing
grasses from newly seeded wildflower meadows. Doesn't hurt the seedlings
at all when used correctly. Be careful using it around other monocots
like Trilliums, though.
There's also a product by Ortho -- "Grass Be Gone" or something like
that. Probably the same chemical makeup as Ornamec. The grass slowly
but surely fades away without anything else being harmed. Neither of
these products is organic, BTW.
