Re: Weed identity

Hello there,

My daughter, who is pretty knowledgable on plant identity, wants
to know if the stem is square? If so, it could be in the mint family
which usually makes it pretty invasive. It does look like a mint
from the picture. Does it have some sort of oder? It could be
under herbs or look under mentha (mint). Could be just a wild
variety of mint gone wild.

Mint can grow off just one small piece of stem dropped unnoticed.
We have it in our swampy woods area, but it will grow anywhere. I
have a collection of different mints I keep in raised bed and watch it
closely so it doesn't "get away".
