Well, good for you, Robin.
    I do not think you will ever have cause to regret sending the $25. Seeds alone
are worth far more than that... so is the subscription to the Quarterly. There is
an Alpine-L to join, although it is not officially an arm of the NARGS. Pretty
decent prices at the bookstore as well....but you will find out about all of that.
    Do be sure and see if there is a local chapter close to you so you can attend
some meetings.some of the nicest people I have ever had the pleasure of talking
plants with. ... and a lot of trading goes on...
