Re: Foliage only plants


'Wyoming' has purple foliage - really lovely IMO; been keeping these
going for 'bout  30 years.  Mine do flower where they get enough sun;
sort of a deep apricot, but that's not what I grow them for.  Never
have had JB on them or any Canna; but seldom see those guys.  Once in
a blue moon they hit my Rosa glauca, but not for several years (knock
on wood).

Yes, the sweet potato vines want it hot and are great in containers. 
I grow them both ways.  In the ground, they are capable of covering a
wide area once they get going.  Have a rabbit, replacing the deer
this year, who is munching some of mine; deer love them.
