===>I have had the variegated leaf form of the LOTV and it has increased 
slowly for me. However, I have not planted it in particularly lush soil and 
it also gets half a day or more of sun, so perhaps I've held it back by these 
means. I planted it in the fall of 1999 and had three stems this year.  I've 
been holding back to wait for enough to move some of it to a shadier, moister 
area to see what happens. A friend said to just put some mushroom compost on 
it and stand back!
