Well, back frm the visit. Had to sell the dog as there was no room for
plants in the van.........the wife was the next one to go( or stay) but I ran
out of money. I won't bore you withthe long list but two unusual plants for
me were: Carex platyphylla which I believe was discussed a couple of weeks
ago. Maybe i'll search the archives. Leo Blanchette says its glaucos lraves
ger really wide compared to Carex plantaginea. He said He discovered the
plant out near State College Pa.....or was that the Carex Pennsylvanica.
Sure it was platyphylla.
Anyway the second plant that intrigues me is "Sinacalia tangutica". Obvously
a spreader ....some called it Ligularia tangutica. In my newly acquired
Phillipos and Rix, Perennials it doesn't say much, though it was apparently
also callled Senecio tanguticas. Does anyone.......maybe 500 of ya'll out
there......have any experience with Sinaclia tangutica?
