Arborvillage Nursery in Holt, MO - (816) 264-3911, carries Tricolor beech in a 3 gallon size at $75.00. I have been purchasing trees and shrubs from them for years and find their quality to be extremely good.
As a note, the catalog description for the above suggests the need for afternoon shade in the midwest.
