I've always enjoyed and had good luck with hostas in deep shade. I
especially like H. sieboldiana "Elegans" which has a bluish cast to it.
If you're looking for a little lighter plant, the H. crispula has a wavy
cream edge and grows well for me in my deep shade.
I've also had luck with Aconitum (Monkshood or Wolfsbane) in deep shade.
There are cultivars available in whites and yellows that brighten a
shady area.
Just my 2 cents worth
