Geranium (really pelargoniums you know!) leaves do get old and
dry up.  If you've been growing them all winter, don't be
surprised by this.  To avoid this situation I grow them through
the winter and then take cuttings to root for the next season in
early March.  I've found the old leaves are often bigger than
they would be normally after growing in insufficient light (cool
white shoplights) all winter.  The newer leaves are truer to the
species than the older ones.
