I live in Mansfield, just 25 miles from Milton. How about Rosy Glow Barberry
for burgundy color? Also daisies, daylilies and coreopsis  do very well here.
Actually almost anything goes well here. I have a pretty large perennial
garden from lavender to daylilies to heathers. Coreopsis can get pretty
invasive: how about gloriosa daisies? Longer lasting and not so invasively
reseeded. Any kind of daylily does well here and daisies don't have any
problems either. A good nursery to visit is Briggs in North Attleboro, MA
just 20 minutes down 95 S. Worth the trip. A very well stocked nursery and
very knowledgeable employees. Feel free to e-mail me with any specific
