Muddy, I'm with you, I LOVE Hostas. One of my new favorites is 'Patriot',
a really lovely green with white which I believe was the Hosta Society's
"hosta of the year" in the recent past. It was terribly expensive but the
price is dropping. My all time favorite blue is 'Krossa Regal'. It has a
tall vase shaped habit and is slug resistant here - I've never seen a slug
bite on it. I always figured the slugs got dizzy trying to get up that high
to take a bite :). My favorite mini blue is a cute compact, very chalky blue
'Dorset Blue'. And 'Golden Tiara' is my fav mini green with yellow, a
profuse dark lavender bloomer. 'Sum and Substance' and 'Wide Brim' are 2
large green w/ gold that are very lovely. I'm now growing 33 different
Hostas and looking for space to plant more!
