Re: purple and orange/butter yellow

I can understand your feelings about the purple and orange.... in most cases
those go well with a little red thrown in, but I have a madly blooming
RedOrange Poppy only 4 feet from a MaroonPurple Niobe Clematis that is also
blooming its little brains out! The plantings here do not usually suffer from
massive color clash... but this year those tow have synchronized their bloom
and are duke-ing it out by my back (the most used door!) door.
I like butter yellow flowers! Yellow lupines are good and Thermopsis is good
too. There is a Perennial snapdragon that is yellow... I think WFF has it.
Yellow Flax (Linum flavum) is a beautiful shade of yellow. Aquilegia
chrysantha is a lovely shade too and will re bloom if deadheaded.
Blessings of the Midsummer Season!
