Re: Am I alone?-Not exactly!

Jeanne,
I too, am in a Zone 5-6 climate, mainly hot and muggy this w/e with lots of
rain to spoil the 4th! but I have a small clump, about 2 feet, of shasta's
that have been in bloom for about 2 weeks now. Their white flowers are a
welcome relief to a riot of colorful glads they are growing at the bottom of !
Maybe the glad foliage is sheltering? So they are not getting to much of the
direct sun? My carnations on the other hand have bloomed and just up and
quit! they do get lots more direct sun, but I've watered, deadheaded (maybe
that is the problem?) and spoke gently to them!
The shasta's do make a bright spot ! Give your self a little more time!
Wanda
