I live in Idaho which, like most of the intermountain west, has bright blue
skies, occasional white fluffy clouds, etc.  The perennials dept. manager
at my favorite greenhouse remarked that the people moving here from Seattle
were used to landscaping with pastels because they went better with the
overcast skies, but after they had become more accustomed to Boise's bright
skies, they were more adventurous with colors, using a lot more bright
colors in their landscapes.  Comments?  Margaret
