Journal? Oh yeah, I think my last entry was June 7th or something like
that. At least it was 1998.
I am enjoying watching my wildflower garden develope right now.
I bought one of those buckets in Walmart for $7 in the spring and
planted it up in the back stretches of the yard. I didn't think anything
would come up, just hoped it would.
Everyday something new pops up. I believe there is a catchfly
developing now. I have burgundy coreopsis and lots of bluebells and some
cornflowers. I just hope they all come back next year either as
perennials or self seeders.
When I got the bucket it had a lot of what I thought were zinnia seeds
in it. I sorted those out and planted them together. They were zinnias
and the most varied colors. It is interesting watching them also as I am
curious what colors will present themselves. There is a really pretty
vanilla colored one now that has opened up.
What about a garden of fragrance flowers? Are there any really nice
ones I can plant next year?
I have some honeysuckle and four o clocks that will come back. Now
those smell nice.
I just like the whiff of a good perfume with the night and morning air.
