lobelia cardinalis, was Re: Red?

I put lobelia cardinalis seeds in to grow inside, this past spring;
I don't remember how big the seeds were or how many were in the package, but
I got just one plant out of it; I put it into the ground where it took root
and has grown, just a little;
I'm wondering if this perennial will bloom the first year?
