Pottsey,

In my part of the country (zone 6a), here are some things that I had
blooming with the iris and peonies that stay with your color scheme:

YELLOW
wallflowers
a rugosa rose I forget the name of
digitalis ambigua
doronicum (leopardbane)
alyssum saxatile (basket of gold)
alchemilla mollis (lady's mantle)

ORANGE
again, wallflowers

PURPLE
digitalis hyacinth (well, more like lavender)
annual larkspur
geranium 'Johnson's Blue'
centaurea montana (perennial bachelor button)
campanula (various ones were just starting)
violas (Johnny Jump Ups -- which can be yellow and purple, too!!)

WHITE
digitalis
geranium (I forget the variety)
a David Austin rose that is barely tinted pink in the middle, but white
nonetheless
campanula (see above comments)

Hope this helps. Had to check my notes for these.

zone 6a
