I have several feeders, kept filled year round. And the few times they did
manage to empty them, before I could get them filled. They let me know right
away. I have an 80+ Evergreen that is just filled with various birds and they
will sit in there and make all kinds of racket til I get out there.
I have never had them eat leaves of my plants, etc. Some of them do eat
insects, though. Could it be insects they are actually eating on your plant?
Just a thought.
