Pat,
My sister has an awesome garden that has a border of big perennials at the
back (4-5'?) than the cat walk which is just the cheap square cement
squares pplaced a bit haphazardly, then her gardens in front. The effect is
very pleasing, and she has great access to all areas of her garden! The
back of hers is not the house, it is a large pricavy fence, but th idea may
adapt well! You can't really see the walk from the front of the garden, but
when you are upon it, it presents a nice welcoming entry into the garden!
The kids love it too!!
As for ammendments, see the post from Peggy Enes from 7/14 - she mentions
that she has heavy clay, and has been conducting field tests onthe best
ammendments!
