Following the slug thread with interest. Thanks for the many suggestions.
I general just pick 'em off and mush 'em but things are getting out of hand.
My garden survived without me - thanks to friends and family - during a
wonderful month's holiday in France. <Aside: I also went to Giverny. And
yes Monet's perennials beds need work! But with that many tourists nose to
neck on the paths, it's a wonder they find room to get anything done. I
understand the very best time to visit is early spring, after the winter
tourist hiatus.>
Today's problem is two clumps of white tiger lilies that the slugs have
totally decimated. They're new to me - just in this spring. Can I cut the
stems off without damaging next years prospects? There are no leaves left
at all. Very ugly and irritating. They're behind two shorter lovely clumps
of callas <Crystal Blush> that are just coming out! Talk about spoiling the
view!
Thanks in advance.
