I can't tell you about my success with the system yet because I have put
my first cuttings in it yesterday (in pots as Doug described earlier). I
previously used pots tented with dry cleaner bags and I lost quite a few
cuttings, maybe 50 to as high as 75%, to rot because the cuttings would
stay too wet. I haven't enclosed or tented my bench yet because I was
hoping for better air circulation to prevent the rotting I had a problem
with previously.
.
I've previously been sucessfull at rooting buddleia, lantana, vinca,
impatiens, various types of salvia & sages (my favorites lately),
sedums, roses, and artemesias.
.
I'm hoping for the best with this new system, committed to learning more
each day while admitting to being ignorant about exacting scientific
methods, but always extremely excited about the prospects of generating
new plants for FREE!
