Sue,
I found the best, Garden Encyclopedia, I've ever seen.
(I've seen too many and I own most of them)
It is called "Sierra, Complete Land Designer".
It is on disk and it is wonderful. With it I can look at the
pictures, print them if I want, store them into files and if I
don't know their names? I can browse through the photo
album until I find them or I can pick certain characteristics
of the particular plant and it will usually find it for me.
It list plants by botanical names or common names. Many
times when I'm reading through the mail on the "perennial list"
someone will be talking about a plant that I've never heard of
and so I just write down the plant name, type it into the name
search on the encyclopedia and it finds it and gives me all the
information on it with a full color picture. It has much, much
more to offer also but since I maybe off topic and running long,
I'll close now. If you want more information about this,
just let me know.
