Dear Linda,
Thanks for the encouragement. I use the crystals regularly for plants in very
dry
areas, but didn't think of using them in a "mixed" planting.
The Astilbe is probably 'Fanal' and L. 'Red Velvet' is a turk's cap type that
is maybe a shade darker. Its a very dramatic combination and I would be really
proud
of myself if only I'd done it on purpose :^>.
