Re: Phlox stolonifera

Hello Al,
We are talking phlox that grows in the woods... Woodland Phlox, but I
believe two different species here. We were discussing P. stolonifera. The
P. "Clouds of Perfume" is a selection of the species P. divaricata. They
have entirely different growth habits. Could this be the reason for
wondering about the performance in your garden?
    P. stolonifera creeps about rooting as it goes. P. divaricata is a
clumper that spreads by seeds.
