Re: Autumn crocus and colchicum


I'm not surprised critters leave the Colchicum bulbs alone - it is toxic. And the
extract from it, also called colchicum, is used to stop an attack of gout. As I
remember, you take the colchicum pills until the pain is relieved or you start
vomiting - whichever comes first.
Thank goodness, I haven't been troubled by gout for years and years!
