Re: asiactic garden beetles

<<<I went out several nights after dark with a flashlight
and handpicked the asiactic garden beetles. There were not
scores but I did have the dubious satisfaction of drowning a
number of them. I suppose for this to do any good it will
have to become a ritual. I know Vivian and Laurie also have
them - any luck with battling them?>>>

So far I am just letting them chomp away. I am not ready to
touch them yet! I could not grab them with the leather
gloves, maybe I need to get some thin cotton gloves.

Anyway, they are eating leaves of buddleia, agastache,
hollyhocks, all the shasta petals, echinea petals. :( They
are ignoring some other stuff completely.

When I saw the most of them was when I was digging holes
about 1ft deep in the evening. Beetles came pouring out.
Does anyone know how long the timeframe for them eating is?
