Unless you live in, like, southern California or Florida you would, as they
say, "treat it as an annual."  If you have a sunny window or, better yet, sun
porch you could bring the plant indoors for the winter.  They apparently
over-winter very well indoors.  I've never tried it because I have very
limited suitable spaces for over-wintering plants.
