Re: Phlox paniculata help

If I am not wrong, phlox are heavy feeders.  She might try a liquid bloom booster fertilizer(like Peters), as well as a slow release balanced(such as Osmocote 14-14-14) one.  They need phosphorus, for sure.  Mine are starting to bloom now.

Subject: Phlox paniculata help

A friend asked me to find out why her phlox paniculata (multiple
varieties) never bloom.  They are all in full sun throughout her yard,
good soil (everything around them bloom like mad) and seem healthy.
They have been in their respective spots for over 5 years and NONE have
bloomed.  It's too early for them to be blooming now, but she'd really
like to have blooms this year! Could they be in need of fertilizer?  If
so, what?

Can you help her (us?)

Many thanks.
