clematis id


I am looking for a burgundy, NOT pinkish, large flowered, 10-12' clematis.  I 
have found the description of Crimson Star (Crimson King) in my Evison book, 
but do not trust color descriptions anymore!  
Does anyone have this clematis, and if so, is it truly red?
