I confine my preliminary list to exceptionally long blooming perennials (6-8
weeks or longer) that are hardy for me in Zone 4b.
Nepeta grandiflora
Patrinia scabiosifolia
Knautia macedonica
Callirhoe involucrata
Echinacea purpurea
Scabiosa sp. (many)
Campanula rotundifolia
An unidentified species of Mertensia, affectionately called "Great Plant"
here.
I am sure I can add more as I think of them.
