Eupatorium rugosum 'Chocolate'

Ran into this plant this weekend and succumbed.  Truth be told, I succumbed
to about 3 flats of plants, but we'll take this one at a time.

I have grown a form of Joe Pye (don't know which one -- a shared plant) in
dry shade with end-of-the-day sun for years and it thrives, to put it
politely.

What does the Chocolate beauty prefer?
