I wonder if the fungicide treatment for Clematis Wilt that was discussed a
week ago would work on the Lonicera vine. One respondent said that even
cutting off the Clematis at ground level, peeling back some dirt and
fungiciding far down into the root could work. Might try it on Lonicera if
the alternative is losing/removing it.
