I think you have a marvelous challenge. I would begin this with enthusiasm.
Just think, a place with no ice in the driveway. All the best bulb growers
are in California and many of those treasures grow outdoors, year 'round.
Most of the commercial iris and lily growers are in California. Do you want
a stow-away?
On grey water, Marge is right 100%. There are legal requirements for the use
of grey water and you may want to know more about the negatives. A lot of
gardeners use it here but my husband and son both have anger explosions on
this subject, son being in the HVAC business.
