Is it purple or is it blue?

Hi Folks!  I have a question about perennial morning glories.  I have a
wonderful perennial morning glory vine growing up a yellow pole.  In the
morning, the flowers are indigo with a purple throat.  In the afternoon,
those same flowers are violet.  Is it the change in the light or does the
flower color actually change???

I've been wondering about this for a while.
