I have been growing a Knautica macedonica in full sun in a raised bed in
zone 5 for two years now and am really impressed with how easy, hardy,
beautiful, and long-blooming it is. The deep wine-red flowers are a
very unusual garden color and are produced in profusion! The foliage is
attractive too. I have noticed this year that it has started seeding
about in the nearby gravel paths, but it doesn't seem as though it would
be a problem to move or remove.
