Tell me more about Achilleas. I have 3 general types, I think: Achillea
ptarmica, which are thriving and spreading since I moved them into
all-afternoon sun; what I call regular achillea, which comes in a number of
pastel shades and looks similar to 'moonshine,' and achillea 'Moonwalker,'
which has an entirely different looking leaf from either of the other two.
The last I bought last year about this time, and it is now showing buds; I
don't know what to expect the flower to look like.

The ferny-leaf achillea (the pastelly ones above) has sent up a few bud
stalks, most of which have been eaten (groundhog? rabbit? deer? I tend to
think it isn't the deer, but I blame most other losses on deer). The
plants seem quite healthy and have filled in an area each, but have
relatively few bud stalks. Someone told me that they needed to be confined
to produce bloom, and indeed the stalks seem to be near the edges where
they bump into other plants (siberian iris, for example).
