Re: Monarda (Bee Balm)

Well, here is my two cents worth again :~)

I have grown Monarda for about six years. There are some strains that state
'mildew resistant', such as Marshall's Delight (Monarda didyma), but from my
experience the mildew is not a big deal, meaning, the leaves get a whitish
color, but it has never made any difference as far as the flowers go. It is
best not to crowd them, which makes the mildewing worse. I guess all I am
saying is, if you aren't that concerned with aesthetics (which I am not) then
it won't bother you or the plant.
