Yes canna's need to be dug in the fall and stored in a cool dry place, in any
zone below about 6. They can be dug and divided every 3-4 months in the
ground. just dig them up cut back the foliage to 4-8 in. and the root pieces
with 2-3 eyes. They prefer full sun but will tolorate light shade.
