Hi Carol, I don't know why a whiskey barrel wouldn't be big enough around
for 2 Boltonia and a Stella daylily. The only problem I could see would be
if you have much wind. My 3 year old clumps of Boltonia are about 6-7 ft.
tall in bloom in late summer/early fall and might not stand up in a barrel
if it was windy.
