Hi everyone,
A few weeks ago we had a thread going about Sweet Williams and someone
asked whether, after the flowers quit blooming, the plants should be
cut back? I have several SW's that I planted last fall and one of them
had pretty much faded so, without waiting to see what the replies
would be, I impulsively rushed out and cut it back nearly to the
ground. Later, when I learned that they reseed I thought,"Well,
that's another mistake for old airhead". The point of all this is that
the SW I cut back is covered with new flower buds and is going to
bloom again! Needless to say, I won't cut back this one but if any of
you cut them back like I did, TAKE HEART. They will return.
Jeanne (still waiting for her Shasta Daisies to do SOMETHING)
