Myrna,
just a thought but it seems to me that these plants put down quite a
large carrot type tap root ,not sure if they should stay in the pots as
it might stunt this critically important root..I moved a pup last spring
that was maybe 4-5"and it had a root equally or more long.
BTW I have peonies growing to the rear of my largest C.c.and they do
compliment each other, just not too close or over time it might become
over crowded.
