I have rooted cuttings also, but they too are blue. I think my problem
is my soil is more acid than alkaline. I understand the secret is to
start applying the lime in the early spring before they bud and continue
every 2 weeks. I've done this without results. I thought maybe the
wood ash might work. It's something I will try come spring next year.
