Mis-labeled plants are a pet peave of mine. I know that it is
impossible to avoid the problem entirely (if for no other reason
than the fact that taxonomists need publications), but I do try
to keep my plants accurately labeled. I do keep track of where
I buy my plants and if a nursery (or wholesaler) sells me too
many incorrectly labeled plants; I stop buying their plants. I
also do not patronize nurseries where more than a small portion
of the plants are unlabeled since it seems that this is probably
indicative of their approach to accuracy in labeling.
