Hello Joanie,
Delphinium X belladonna Connecticut Yankee has been perennial for me for
many years now. Getting ready to plant some more over in the garden this
fall. The ones I have had exist in the main bed near the parking area
closer to the house. I find they are reliable for around 4 to 5 years, but
one does get seedlings as well in the mulch around the mother plants.
As I stated in another message, they reach about 3 feet in height, enjoy
reasonable soil and moisture and a bit of mulch. Blooms always come in
mixed colors. Never seen an offering of seeds or plants wholesale offering
specific colors. Single blooms in proliferation, good foliage. Color range
is from icy blue to lavender blue and into the deep royal purple.
